For construction sites and attendance scenarios where preventing buddy punching matters, always confirm that the device supports liveness detection.
2. Recognition Distance and Fill-Light Method
Ordinary office scenarios are served by a recognition distance of 0.3-1.0 m. At high-traffic entrances such as business parks and construction sites, choose a device with a recognition distance of up to 2 m and a starlight-grade image sensor so recognition stays reliable in dim or dark conditions.
3. Protection Rating and Installation Environment
For indoor use, IP65 devices are sufficient; for outdoor or semi-outdoor locations choose IP66 or higher and pair the unit with a sunshade. Environments with heavy dust or oil, such as construction sites and chemical plants, require particular attention to the protection rating and panel material.
4. Communication Method and Capacity
